Job Description

A Project Quality Engineer position has become available within a leading supplier of precision-engineered components to the global Automotive and Industrial sectors. This is a business that values proactive problem-solving, technical collaboration, and internal development. With a strong focus on attitude and communication over just experience, this opportunity offers a salary of up to £50,000, sociable working hours with a midday finish on Fridays, and the chance to work with major OEMs on advanced projects.

Project Quality Engineer responsibilities include:

1. Review technical drawings, CAD data, and specifications for feasibility.
2. Act as the key technical liaison during RFQ and New Product Introduction phases.
3. Support APQP activities including PPAP documentation and feasibility reviews.
4. Assist with CMM inspection planning and complex measurement requirements.
5. Attend customer site visits, providing technical support and building relationships.
6. Lead or support 8D investigations and manage customer concern resolutions.

Project Quality Engineer desirable skills and experience:

• Background in a similar role - Technical Engineer, Applications Engineer, etc.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and analysing CMM data.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality management systems.
• Comfortable using tools such as NPI, APQP, PPAP, 8D, and PSW.
