Overview

As a Project Procurement Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to influence procurement strategies that support national security while developing your expertise in a dynamic, high‑profile environment. Day‑to‑day, you'll be part of a newly formed team delivering critical supply chain solutions for submarine programmes. You'll manage sourcing, tendering, and supplier performance to ensure projects meet time, cost, and quality targets.

Responsibilities
  • Establish project requirements and design supply chains to meet them
  • Manage sourcing and tendering processes in line with project deliverables
  • Lead negotiations to secure cost‑effective supply solutions
  • Assure supplier performance against time, cost, and quality requirements
  • Deliver cost reductions and savings in line with business targets

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential Experience
  • Strong supply chain and contract management expertise
  • Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills
  • Ability to analyse markets and manage complex business requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and corporate IT systems
  • Self‑motivated with a flexible, adaptable approach
Qualifications
  • Degree‑level qualification or equivalent experience (preferred)
  • CIPS or equivalent professional qualification (advantageous)
