Job description

Our client, a leading authority in the highways sector, is seeking a skilled Project Manager/Transport Planner to join their team on a contract basis to support a significant multi‑modal corridor project in West Midlands. The role is part‑time (2‑3 days per week) for 15‑18 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the development of the Stoneleigh to Westwood Heath Multi‑Modal Corridor project
  • Engaging with key stakeholders including the University and local developers
  • Overseeing and coordinating project tasks as outlined in the project scope
  • Ensuring project milestones are met within the 15‑18 month contract period
  • Assisting in the preparation for the Local Plan Examination in Public (EiP)
  • Providing regular project updates and reports to stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Job Requirements
  • Extensive experience in Transport Planning
  • Proven experience in Project Management, ideally with a PRINCE2 qualification
  • Strong understanding of highways infrastructure and multi‑modal transport projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple local authorities and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
