Senior Project Manager x 2
Located in Central Birmingham
Up to £100,000 per annum + package (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Structures & Pre‑cast to join the HS2 delivery team in Gerrards Cross. This role will lead the delivery of complex permanent works packages including reinforced concrete structures, bridges and large‑scale pre‑cast elements on one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of structural and pre‑cast work packages, including bridges (RC, post‑tensioned and pre‑cast)
• Retaining walls, culverts and earth‑retaining structures
• Large pre‑cast elements including beams, slabs, columns, parapets and headwalls
• Temporary works associated with lifting, transportation and installation of pre‑cast units
• Manage day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and within budget
• Administer NEC contracts, including programme control, compensation events, change management and cost reporting
• Coordinate with designers, pre‑cast suppliers, temporary works engineers and technical assurance teams to secure timely approvals and technical compliance
• Manage interfaces between in‑situ concrete and pre‑cast elements, fabrication yards, logistics and site installation
• Civils, highways and drainage works
• Oversee quality assurance processes including Factory Production Control (FPC) and audits
• Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), dimensional checks, tolerances and installation sign‑off
• Plan and manage complex lifting operations, transport logistics and installation sequencing
• Provide leadership, mentoring and line management to engineering and site management teams

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager working with Tier 1 contractors
• Worked with bridges and reinforced concrete structures
• Pre‑cast concrete manufacture, transport and installation
• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
• Degree‑qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
• Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE, IStructE, CIOB or similar)
• CSCS card and SMSTS certification
• Excellent stakeholder, supplier and interface management skills
