Job summary

A global aerospace client seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee technical aerospace projects in a hybrid role based in Filton, Bristol. The successful candidate will manage project plans and engage with engineering teams while fostering strong stakeholder relationships. Ideal candidates are those with aerospace or engineering backgrounds and must have solid communication skills. This contract role offers a pay rate of £35 per hour (Umbrella) and is inside IR35, valid until November 2026 with possible extensions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace projects and familiarity with aircraft.
  • Comfortable using configuration management tools (ICC).
  • Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineering teams.

Project Manager - Aerospace

Location: Filton Bristol (Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite)

Contract Duration: Until November 2026 (with possible extension)

Pay Rate:
£35.00 per hour (Umbrella)
£26.16 per hour (PAYE)
Standard 35 hours per week (working 4.5 days between 7am - 7pm, hours agreed at business discretion)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

About the Role

Our global aerospace client is searching for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading aerospace programme. This is a new vacancy, offering the opportunity to work in a technical environment and collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders across procurement, engineering, and design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver project plans within a technical aerospace environment
  • Engage in technical discussions with engineers
  • Oversee configuration management and planning tools (e.g., MS Project)
  • Interface with procurement, engineering, and design teams
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Be customer-facing and communicate effectively
Requirements
  • Aerospace experience and understanding of aircraft
  • Comfortable with configuration management tools (ICC)
  • Ability to hold technical discussions with engineers
  • Exposure to planning tools (MS Project or similar)
  • Strong communicator with project management awareness
