Description

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team. The role will be responsible for ensuring that all strategic project related activities within the organisation are delivered to the agreed timelines and budgets. The role will work on LBR's Strategic Programmes and work with senior project sponsors from across the group.

This hands-on role requires an ability to communicate with key stakeholders, and maintain control over project scope, requirements, timescales and costs. Equally important is the desire to understand best practice in project management techniques, both agile and waterfall and work to embed these across all projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver strategic programmes and projects from concept through to completion.
  • Work with the senior management team to deliver business change throughout the organisation and always operate with professional integrity.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on progress against key milestones on all group projects.
  • Agree and ensure all associated controls are managed in accordance with the scope agreed with the key stakeholders.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project team and the project’s scope.
  • Review deliverables prepared by various project teams and enforce project standards.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
  • Ensure that the final delivery of a project or solution matches (or exceeds) the specification.
  • Demonstrate sound business sense and a market-driven approach, with the flexibility to modify approaches to achieve goals as information changes and events unfold.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with your colleagues.
  • Take responsibility for proactive communication with the key business stakeholders involved in your work.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • Proven experience managing multiple complex projects
  • Able to create and execute project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Able to work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of project goals
  • Experience in an information services or digital subscriptions business
  • Self-starter and be able to drive projects with minimal guidance.
  • Strong communicator who effectively communicates ideas to others.
  • Excellent MS Excel, MS Project (or equivalent), MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ideally experience of working with and managing outsourced suppliers
