Job description

Job vacancy - Project Manager

Position : Project Manager

Reference : AMacs1719

Location : Hinckley

Salary : Dependent on experience

We're looking for a Project Manager to oversee engineering and fabrication projects end-to-end, with a focus on quality, timelines, and collaboration. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical precision with structured project delivery - turning complex designs into practical, on-time outcomes.

You'll manage multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with engineers, fabricators, and clients to ensure each stage - from concept and design through to manufacture and delivery - runs smoothly. The position suits someone who's comfortable being both hands-on and strategic : reviewing CAD drawings one moment, then leading project reviews and coordinating suppliers the next.

A background in mechanical or process engineering, manufacturing, or a similar technical environment will help, but specific heat exchanger experience isn't essential. What matters most is a solid grasp of engineering principles, an eye for technical detail, and the ability to drive tasks to completion.

It's a great fit for someone who values teamwork, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in an environment where every project is slightly different.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver engineering / fabrication projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure technical and commercial requirements are met.
  • Review and prepare CAD drawings and associated documentation.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical input and support design teams in resolving issues.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven project management experience in an engineering or manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Confident managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent.
