The role

As a Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager is accountable for delivery of their allocated part of the infrastructure programme.

Day-to-day, you’ll manage a large number of construction and engineering projects, with both high value and significant degree of complexity. You will take projects from business case through to handover delivering projects to time, cost and quality.

  • Understanding the Client’s requirements
  • Developing the project brief
  • Co-ordinating the production of concept and technical design
  • Managing tender process, arrange funding from Client, through to contract award
  • Supervision of delivery Contractor during the Implementation Stage
  • Management of Handover process

This role is full time, Monday to Thursday 07.45 - 16.45, with a 3 day weekend 36 hours per week, provides hybrid working arrangements with an estimated 2/3 days onsite and rest working from home.

Essential experience of the Project Manager

  • Experience as Project Manager in delivering construction or engineering infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of standard forms of contract e.g., NEC4 or JCT
  • Understanding of the RIBA plan of work stages
  • Knowledge of Principle Designer CDM15 regulations
  • Good at working effectively as an individual or in teams; flexibly and resourcefully

Qualifications for the Project Manager

  • Minimum HNC in relevant construction or engineering discipline; either Building Construction, Project Management, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Full member or working towards full membership of RICS, CIOB preferred
  • APM Project Management Qualification is preferred but not essential
