Job Title: Project Manager - Industrial New Build Project

About the Contractor

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK main contractor specialising in the delivery of complex, high‑value industrial and commercial projects. The company is renowned for delivering schemes safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards, working closely with clients, consultants, and a trusted supply chain.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a £10M industrial new build scheme in Swindon, scheduled to start in February 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project from pre‑construction through to completion, ensuring successful delivery within budget, programme, and quality targets.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, coordinate subcontractors, manage client expectations, and ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the project team to ensure successful delivery of the £10M industrial new build project
  • Manage project planning, programmes, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to maintain progress and quality
  • Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
  • Monitor health & safety compliance and environmental performance
  • Oversee procurement, contract administration, and reporting
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues promptly
  • Prepare regular project reports and attend site and client meetings
Required Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager on industrial, commercial, or similar construction projects
  • Experience managing projects of £5M+ preferably up to £10M
  • Strong understanding of construction programmes, cost management, and contract administration
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and subcontractors effectively
  • Knowledge of health & safety and environmental regulations on industrial sites
Qualifications
  • Relevant construction or project management qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, BSc, or equivalent)
  • PRINCE2, RICS, or CIOB membership/qualification preferred
  • CSCS Card (essential)
