Your New Role:

We have a great job opportunity for a skilled Project Manager to join our team for National Highways, England. Your main role will be to oversee various projects in Amey's National Highways TFM account which includes a variety of large and small construction-based projects including but not limited to office refurbishments, relocations, mechanical, electrical and fabric-based projects. Safety and making sure our clients are happy are our top priorities. We're growing our project team to handle all our work, so this is a perfect chance to be part of our expanding Complex Facilities division at Amey.

Location and Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will be based in central England to support delivery nationally, with a project/construction background. The role will oversee the account delivery of projects including ensuring financial, commercial, safety and operational delivery. You will be the main customer interface and conduit between Amey and National Highways. A valid driving licence is essential for this role. This role is Hybrid (working remotely and across National Highways Estates). The standard hours of work are 40 Hours Per Week.

Responsibilities:
  • As Project Manager you will manage the end-to-end delivery of projects within the Amey FM Project Team and maintain coordination and control over a regional based portfolio of projects.
  • Ownership and delivery of all projects directly delivered by Amey.
  • Liaising with Amey Site Teams, Amey Operations teams, Project Commercial Team, Clients and Stakeholders.
  • Working with Project Team colleagues to develop and deliver larger and more complex projects work from inception, through Investigation, Design and Delivery.
  • Deliver revenue within agreed budgets.
  • Develop, monitor and manage Project Programmes to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Working with our supply chain partners and subcontractors to ensure highest levels of Health, Safety and Quality are achieved, project timescales and cost targets are met.
  • Conduct weekly reviews with stakeholders, managers and project teams.
  • Developing future project business.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Experienced in developing and managing project work within a Facilities management / construction environment – experience of working within PFI contract background would be desirable but is not essential.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in suitable construction/management or Engineering discipline.
  • Working experience of CDM and Risk Management.
  • A strong team player, highly organised and a good communicator.
  • Ability to manage clients expectations to secure successful project outcomes.
  • Able to demonstrate project cost control.
  • Able to develop design specifications, health and safety plans and other key documentation associated with the definition, competition, and delivery of projects.
  • Experienced in managing on site project works on several sites and coordination of several subcontractors in the delivery of a single project.
  • Basic IT skillset in Excel/SharePoint.
  • Driving licence is essential.
