Our people at JLL and JLL Technologies are shaping the future of real estate for a better world by combining world class services, advisory and technology for our clients. We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people and empowering them to thrive, grow meaningful careers and to find a place where they belong. Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.

What this job involves

Our graduate programme will provide you with first-hand experience while working towards a professional qualification. You’ll join us on a 2 to 2.5 year trainee programme, working towards Project Management Chartered Surveyor status with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). If you do not have an RICS accredited Real Estate degree then you will need to complete a Master’s degree in Real Estate as part of the programme as well. Anyone with a degree can join this programme, irrespective of degree discipline, as we’re focused on training you to becoming a qualified and well-rounded professional. Rotating exclusively within the Project Management team you will get variety of experience in how property projects are delivered – from one-off projects to multi-site locations. You will take ownership for real work that will help our clients achieve their ambitions. You will gain exposure to different sized projects with various types of clients and understand the different strategies clients may have in managing their properties.

What your day-to-day will look like

You’ll get involved in real work from day one that will help clients achieve their ambitions. The work will vary depending on the team you are in but below are some of what you’ll experience.

  • You will work on real projects to help clients achieve their ambitions, with exposure to various project sizes and client types.
  • You’ll research and keep up to date with market insights and property legislation that may impact our work.
  • You’ll learn how to use property systems/databases to collect information to determine the best solutions for clients.
  • You’ll build relationships across our business and with clients to ensure we deliver great service.
  • You’ll work with your team to draft and deliver work such as service charge budgets, client presentations, and valuation reports.
  • You’ll visit properties to carry out inspections or conduct client viewings.
  • You’ll take part in regular training in business skills, technical knowledge, and professional development to support your growth.
What you’ll get from us

We know that your unique backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives help us think bigger, spark innovation and succeed together. At JLL, we want everyone to feel welcomed, valued, and empowered to achieve their full potential, and here are just some of the ways we’ll make that happen.

  • Support from us – The Early Careers team will be with you every step of the way during your programme. Your manager and team will also be there to guide you day-to-day.
  • Support from your buddy – You’ll be paired with a peer on a similar pathway to you who will be there to answer any questions and guide you.
  • Training opportunities for everyone – No matter your experience or role, both our Early Careers and Learning teams will provide you with many ways to improve and develop your skills, from managing stakeholders and clients to report and pitch writing.
  • Surveying qualification support – You’ll take part in workshops to build your knowledge and skills for your Chartership assessment. You will be designated a mentor who will support you throughout the programme.
  • Dress for your day – Each day will be different, so you should dress according to what you’re doing. For example, if you’re meeting clients then dress smartly; you may dress more casually when you don’t.
  • Competitive salary – As an accredited Living Wage employer, we are committed to paying a wage that is fair and competitive to the industry.
  • 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays each year – We encourage you to take breaks from work and recharge throughout the year.
  • 2 paid volunteer days each year – We support giving back to communities through events with specific charities and organisations, or you can use the days to support a charity of your choice.
  • Wide range of employee benefits – Well-being resources, exclusive discounts, pension, private medical, dental insurance, employee assistance programme, season ticket loan, cycle-to-work, mortgage advice, and more.

Required Skills and Experience

  • GCSEs – C/4 in English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Degree – 2:1 predicted or achieved, ideally in Construction Management or Construction Project Management or similar
  • Curious mindset to learn and grow with us
  • Passionate and eager to contribute ideas and challenge yourself
  • Interest in the property industry and how we can shape its future
  • Ability to connect with others and build strong relationships
