Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented apprentice to join our team. The successful candidate will support the effective delivery of projects by monitoring budgets managing costs and providing accurate financial and progress reporting.

The role may involve working on-site with clients several days per week.

Responsibilities :
  • Monitor project budgets costs and expenditures to ensure financial control.
  • Prepare regular reports on project performance including cost forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Work closely with project managers to track progress risks and opportunities.
  • Support project planning resource allocation and financial decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual regulatory and company procedures.
  • Contribute to process improvements in project control and reporting practices.

Desirable skills :
  • Proven experience in project control finance or cost management within construction engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency with project management and financial software (Primavera P6 MS Project SAP or similar).
  • Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and cost control principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Risk workshop facilitation.
  • Risk modelling (QRA).
  • Ability to develop and implement a risk management plan.
  • Driving licence (essential)

Entry requirements :
  • Level 3 Qualification (Apprenticeship / A Levels / BTEC etc.)
  • OR equivalent work experience (typically 2 years in a relevant role)
AND :
  • 5 x GCSEs including English & Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
