Overview

Project Finance Officer, First Light, Royal Museums Greenwich. Location: London. Salary: £36,900 Per Annum. Deadline: 3 Oct 2025. This role is related to an application for funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) and will only be appointed if this is successful. Be at the forefront of an exciting transformation at one of the world's most iconic historic and scientific landmarks. As Project Finance Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in First Light — an ambitious capital project set to reinvent the Royal Observatory Greenwich for a new generation, with the launch scheduled for spring/summer 2028, delivering a dynamic suite of permanent and semi-permanent exhibitions across the north of the Observatory site.

Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact for the First Light project team for matters relating to project finances.
  • Pull together all relevant documentation as required by the NLHF and other funders on a monthly basis.
  • Oversee information pertaining to suppliers, purchase orders, invoices and credit card purchases to the project cost; keep detailed records and ensure compliance with financial regulations and Museum policies.
  • Assist with year-end accruals and various other tasks as needed.
