The successful candidate will deliver mechanical requirements, work closely with Project Managers, and ensure quality standards through inspections and audits. Ideal candidates should have a background in Mechanical and/or Civil projects within the water/wastewater sector and possess a CSCS card, along with an HNC or equivalent. The role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 plus benefits.

Project Engineer (Mechanical) - Thames Water Projects

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 + benefits

Location: Thames Valley Region

We're recruiting for a Project Engineer (Mechanical) to support major Thames Water projects with a tier 1 contractor. This is a key role where you'll work closely with Project Managers to deliver schemes safely, on time, and within budget.

The Role

• Delivering mechanical requirements across multiple schemes.
• Working with designers, suppliers, and commercial teams.
• Overseeing offsite assembly, modularisation, and installation.
• Carrying out inspections, audits, and ensuring quality standards are met.
• Supporting a positive project culture and driving performance.

What You'll Need to be a succesful Project Engineer

• Background in Mechanical and/or Civil projects within water/wastewater.
• CSCS card and SMSTS/SSSTS.
• HNC or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with MMC, Lean Construction, or similar is an advantage.
