Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical) for major Thames Water projects in the Thames Valley Region. The successful candidate will deliver mechanical requirements, work closely with Project Managers, and ensure quality standards through inspections and audits. Ideal candidates should have a background in Mechanical and/or Civil projects within the water/wastewater sector and possess a CSCS card, along with an HNC or equivalent. The role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 plus benefits.

Project Engineer (Mechanical) - Thames Water Projects

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 + benefits

Location: Thames Valley Region

We're recruiting for a Project Engineer (Mechanical) to support major Thames Water projects with a tier 1 contractor. This is a key role where you'll work closely with Project Managers to deliver schemes safely, on time, and within budget.

The Role
  • Delivering mechanical requirements across multiple schemes.
  • Working with designers, suppliers, and commercial teams.
  • Overseeing offsite assembly, modularisation, and installation.
  • Carrying out inspections, audits, and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Supporting a positive project culture and driving performance.
What You'll Need to be a succesful Project Engineer
  • Background in Mechanical and/or Civil projects within water/wastewater.
  • CSCS card and SMSTS/SSSTS.
  • HNC or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with MMC, Lean Construction, or similar is an advantage.
