Manufacturing Production Engineer

Location: Colchester (Onsite)

Reed Engineering are currently supporting a growing manufacturing organisation seeking a Manufacturing Production Engineer to join their team.

The Role

• Improve and optimise manufacturing processes
• Support day-to-day production and troubleshoot issues
• Manage relationships with manufacturing partners
• Assist with NPI alongside design and R&D teams
• Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions and process documentation
• Analyse production data and identify improvement opportunities
• Lead or support Lean/CI activities (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering (or similar)
• 2+ years’ experience in production/manufacturing engineering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methods
• CAD skills (AutoCAD, Inventor or Fusion 360)
• Knowledge of machining, assembly or moulding processes
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Able to prioritise and work proactively
• Right to work in the UK without restrictions
