Job Description

Project Director - Acute Care | Construction Consultancy

Leeds (hybrid)

Competitive salary + car allowance & benefits

Full-time | Permenant

Our client is a progressive, internationally recognised real estate and construction consultancy with a strong foothold in Yorkshire and key cities across the UK. Known for their enduring partnerships and impressive portfolio of high-profile projects, they’ve built a reputation for delivering excellence across a wide range of sectors.

What really sets them apart is their purpose-driven approach. They’re passionate about creating real, lasting impact - whether that’s through delivering better outcomes for clients, investing in their people, or leading the way in sustainability and inclusivity. This is a business where innovation, ambition and social responsibility go hand in hand.

The opportunity

With a rapidly expanding portfolio of acute care and healthcare projects, my client is now looking to bring on board a seasoned Project Director to join their thriving Leeds team. This is a brilliant opportunity to lead from the front, shaping the delivery of major healthcare programmes, guiding a skilled team of Project Managers, and taking the reins on key client relationships.

In this high-impact role, you’ll be a driving force behind best-in-class project delivery, championing quality, governance, and performance across every stage. You’ll also play a strategic role in the ongoing growth of the healthcare division, helping to win new business, strengthen client partnerships, and cement the consultancy’s position as a go-to expert in the sector.

  • Leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing acute healthcare projects from inception to completion
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants and stakeholders
  • Overseeing project planning, governance and delivery processes
  • Ensuring performance targets are met across cost, quality, time and safety
  • Managing risk and change control processes effectively
  • Mentoring and developing the project management team
  • Supporting business growth through client engagement and bid development
  • Driving financial performance and ensuring accurate, timely invoicing and reporting

What we’re looking for

You’ll either be an experienced Project Director or a Senior Project Manager ready to take that next big step. With a solid track record in healthcare construction and consultancy settings, you’ll bring both the technical expertise and strategic insight needed to lead complex projects with confidence. Commercially sharp, a strong communicator, and an inspiring leader, you’re someone who knows how to deliver real value for clients while motivating teams to perform at their best.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • A construction-related degree (or equivalent)
  • Extensive construction project delivery experience in the healthcare sector, ideally acute care
  • Strong client-facing skills and the ability to build lasting relationships
  • A proactive, organised and disciplined approach to leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full right to work in the UK

Why join?

Our client places huge importance on supporting their people to thrive. They offer a flexible, inclusive working culture that promotes work-life balance and career development. As an equal opportunity employer, they welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities.
