This varied role involves collaborating with the local authority, communities, schools, businesses, volunteers, and third sector organisations to remove transport barriers, improve public health and wellbeing, and protect the environment.

Key details:

  • Contract: Permanent
  • Location: The Hartlepool Walking and Cycling Hub
  • Part Time: 22.5 hours/week – flexible working options available
  • Salary: £25,859 per annum (pro rata for part time)
  • Closing date: 23:59 on 21 September 2025

Our Active Travel Hubs in the Tees Valley promote walking and cycling for short journeys, part of the UK’s largest network of such hubs, aiming to transform travel habits in the region.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting planning, coordination, and administration of behaviour change projects
  • Participating in community engagement events and activities
  • Conducting basic data analysis and preparing reports
  • Responding to routine queries and providing support
  • Assisting with project proposals

Applicants should be based within the Teesside area with regular travel to Hartlepool.

About you
