Programme Manager (Research Recovery Rates)

Are you ready to lead a transformative programme that will shape the future of research funding at the University of Bath? We’re looking for a Programme Manager to take the lead on our Research Recovery Rates Programme – a critical initiative aimed at improving how we recover costs from externally funded research. This is a high‑impact role that will run over two years, offering a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference across the University.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive the Research Recovery Rates programme from inception to delivery.
  • Work closely with the Head of Research Funding and the Director of Research and Impact Services to shape strategy and ensure alignment with institutional goals.
  • Collaborate across departments to engage interested parties, capture insights, and implement change.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Find opportunities for improvement and innovation in cost recovery processes.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
  • Be a strategic problem solver, willing to "try and fail quickly" in pursuit of innovation.
  • Show excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Have a collaborative mentality and the confidence to inspire change.
