Overview

The Programme Manager English, ESOL and EFL will work with the Head of Foundation Learning to provide leadership and management to the curriculum and teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing RHACC’s English, ESOL, and EFL provision, which includes both accredited and non-accredited courses as well as community and outreach provisions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide supportive line management to tutors, ensuring high-quality teaching, eliminating poor practice, and driving outstanding learner outcomes.
  • Deliver a learner-centred approach that removes barriers to learning and enables all students to achieve their full potential.
  • Teach up to 720 hours per year.
About You / Qualifications
  • Hold a relevant degree or Level 5 Subject Specialist qualification, a full professional teaching qualification, and ideally an internal quality assurance qualification or be willing to acquire one.
  • Management training or evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) will be an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of Equality, Diversity, and customer care, with a proven ability to deliver outstanding teaching.
  • Experience as a role model for teaching excellence, with monitoring and implementation of quality systems and delivery of operational plans that meet performance targets.
  • Skilled in developing new courses and programs addressing diverse learner needs, and capable of influencing and managing delegated tasks.
  • Experience in course management and working effectively within a team; able to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Experience managing staff, including performance management, motivation, and development.
  • Proficiency in using ICT as both a teaching and management tool.
