Salary: c£29,000 per annumdepending on experience and location

Location: London/Hybrid working or Liverpool/Hybrid

Hours: 35 hours per week, full time, permanent contract

About the Role

This role supports the RIBA International team in delivering a wide range of initiatives that promote architecture and showcase the value of RIBA membership across Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Canada and the USA, while supporting international volunteer member networks, chapters and emerging groups.

You will work closely with UK-based and international colleagues, including teams in the Gulf, Hong Kong, China and across Asia, to plan and deliver programmes such as specialist networking events, panel talks, debates, exhibitions and building visits. You will create project plans aligned with RIBA’s strategic priorities, regional plans, objectives and KPIs, helping to engage, retain and grow RIBA’s global membership of nearly 8,000 members.

The role has a strong focus on marketing and communications, working with internal teams to promote international events via the RIBA website, Eventbrite and social media to maximise reach and engagement. You will also liaise with finance and legal teams to manage budgets, purchase orders, invoices and contracts. This role suits a highly organised, proactive individual with project and events experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international and cross-cultural environment.

There will be some out of usual hours working to accommodate meetings in different time zones.

What are we looking for?

Essential

  • Demonstrable project management skills with previous experience of working on complex and multi-projects as any one time.
  • Excellent administrative skills with good attention to detail obtained through previous working in an office environment.
  • Experience of managing and prioritising workloads with an ability to work on own initiative against agreed KPIs.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • An ability to work within a wider team with a flexible approach to work tasks.

Desirable

  • An understanding of financial processes would be preferable.
