Job summary

A leading care provider is seeking a Professional Support Worker in Wakefield and surrounding areas. This role offers a starting pay of £12.80 per hour, with weekly pay and paid training sessions. Applicants must have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Experience in care is preferred, but those from other relevant backgrounds will be considered. The position involves assisting clients with daily activities and managing appointments, providing a supportive and proactive approach to care.

Qualifications

  • A full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle and business insurance are required.
  • Experience in care-related roles preferred but not mandatory, as training is provided.
  • Ability to assist with daily living skills and management of appointments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living and participation in activities.
  • Facilitate and attend client appointments as needed.
  • Manage calendar and provide support in cooking and cleaning.

  • All attended training sessions and shadow shifts are paid for.
  • Work with our own clients, no agency work.
  • No travelling from home to home, no more feeling rushed, and no pop in / domiciliary visits.
  • We specialise in support and complex care delivery to our brain injury, spinal injury and complex care clients.

A full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle along with business insurance is a requirement.

As a company we are unable to provide sponsorship for overseas candidates, this includes, graduate visas, sponsorship visas and student visas.

Our clients are looking for reliable, proactive, observant, supportive and outgoing support workers to assist them in their day to day lives, whether that’s getting out and about, getting involved in activities or just having a fun and vibrant day!

Usual daily tasks / needs include but are not limited to, daily living skills, calendar management, assisting with cooking and cleaning and facilitating / attending appointments.

Do you need experience?

As much as experience is highly preferred for this role, we will consider applicants that have come from other care related roles as we do offer excellent and high standard training.

In line with CQC & Care Inspectorate regulations, we require and will undertake Enhanced DBS/PVG, Right to Work, Reference and Employment History checks in line with Government guidelines for this role and safer recruitment best practice.
