A public health regulatory body in the UK seeks independent lay members for its Professional Committee. Members will investigate complaints against registered practitioners, participate in case examinations, and engage in decision-making processes. Training will be provided for the selected candidates, who must be committed to attending scheduled induction sessions. CNHC is seeking to appoint five lay members to its Professional Committee.
CNHC is the independent regulatory body for complementary healthcare practitioners, established in 2008 with support and funding from the government. Our sole purpose is public protection, and we deal with complaints about the professional and personal conduct of registrants.
All CNHC registrants are required to comply with our Code of Conduct, Ethics and Performance and we investigate complaints about breaches of the Code. The Professional Committee is a pool of independent lay members from which we draw:
Appropriate training for Committee members will be provided. Successful candidates will be required to attend induction and training on dates to be arranged as soon as possible after appointment.
Deadline for applications is 5pm on 7 October 2025.
Interviews will be held on 12 or 13 November 2025.
