About the Role

We\'re looking for a hands-on, proactive Production Team Leader to join our growing manufacturing team. You\'ll be leading from the front—making sure health & safety standards are met, quality stays high, and your team is engaged, trained, and working efficiently.

This is a great opportunity for someone with production experience who enjoys coaching others, driving improvement, and making a real impact on day-to-day operations.

What You'll Be Doing
Health & Safety Leadership
  • Take full ownership of H&S across your area
  • Ensure teams are working safely, using correct PPE, and following site procedures
  • Keep risk assessments and SOPs up-to-date and user-friendly
  • Investigate any incidents and provide reports within 24 hours
Quality & Compliance
  • Champion a "right first time" mindset
  • Maintain strict food safety and quality standards
  • Oversee product sampling and sign-off procedures
  • Ensure clear, accurate documentation and audit readiness
  • Support with non-conformance and CAPA investigations
  • Manage line clearance in line with SOP372
Team Development
  • Coach and support team members to grow their skills
  • Identify training needs for your team and yourself
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture
Continuous Improvement
  • Work with your team to deliver measurable improvements
  • Analyse key trends weekly with the Shift Manager and act on findings
  • Reduce changeover times by 20% and boost productivity by 10%
Operational Excellence
  • Lead by example—set up, run and clean down machines correctly
  • Manage performance to maximise output and minimise downtime
  • Uphold 5S standards (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain)
Communication
  • Keep clear, accurate shift reports (H&S, performance, quality issues, etc.)
  • Provide thorough handovers between shifts to keep things running smoothly
  • Flag material shortages promptly and communicate clearly
  • Run daily team briefings to keep everyone aligned
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience leading a team in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Food or pharmaceutical industry background (desirable)
  • Familiarity with Clean Room protocols (a bonus but not essential)
  • A confident communicator and team motivator
  • A focus on continuous improvement and doing things the right way
