  • Communicate with Planning, Production, Distribution, and Sales teams.

Job Description

Dams has been providing furniture solutions since the 1960s and is one of the UK's leading manufacturers and suppliers of office furniture, employing over 350 people from our sites in Knowsley.

Are you highly organised, detail-driven, and experienced in production planning? We are looking for a skilled Production Planner to play a key role in ensuring our schedules are efficient, accurate, and aligned with customer demand.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will set an achievable production plan for all seating and screen production, ensuring customer lead times are met and stock line availability is maximised.
  • Set weekly/daily plans following the agreed planning cycle.
  • Ensure the plan is achievable considering capacity and raw material availability.
  • Understand product routes through the factory to optimise efficiencies.
  • Use the MRP system to replenish manufactured stock lines and minimise back orders.
  • Communicate with Planning, Production, Distribution, and Sales regarding any issues.
  • Generate and distribute reports on work order date changes daily.
  • Print and issue production paperwork to the factory.
  • Integrate new products into the plan as required.
  • Continuously review and improve planning processes for efficiency.
  • Assist with workflow requests.
