Job description

Our Client, Hughes Group, are seeking for a Production Planner to join their expanding team, based in Dungannon. Hughes Group is a dynamic innovator in the mushroom sector of the agri-food industry, working with a network of growers to deliver top grade mushrooms, vegan and vegetarian product lines and superlative service to our customers and business partners across the UK and Ireland. The Production Planner will be responsible for scheduling the usage of production materials to ensure optimal levels of production and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere and work towards the company core values
  • Develop daily or weekly production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met
  • Liaise with growers to ensure on time delivery of fresh ingredients
  • Coordinate production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability
  • Prepare status and performance reports
  • Schedule NPD runs and sample within the weekly plan
  • Completion of horizon scanning and reporting
  • Carrying out ad hoc assignments or duties as required by the department
Skills and Qualifications
  • 2-3 years experience in production planning or scheduling within food
  • Understanding of food manufacturing processes, lead times, capacity planning
