A food manufacturing company in Cranbrook is seeking a production planner to create and manage the weekly production schedule. The role involves monitoring production progress, coordinating with procurement, and liaising with internal departments to maintain high customer service levels. Qualifications

  • Familiarity with capacity planning and scheduling.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good Excel skills; knowledge of SAP desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to manage deadlines.
  • Previous experience of production planning.
  • Good understanding of food manufacturing process.

Main Purposes and Scope of Job: Create and manage the weekly production schedule.

  • Monitor production progress and revise schedules to accommodate changes in demand, supply delays or equipment downtime.

  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of ingredients.

  • Work closely with the Production Managers to optimise and improve weekly schedule to support customer requirements.

  • Liaise daily with internal departments.

  • Ensure high customer service levels are maintained.

  • Ensure stock list is up to date.

  • Conduct continuous improvement.
