Job summary

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing / Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

You will work as part of a team to perform a wide variety of operations, including soldering, PCB assembly, and product testing on electronic measuring products.

Job Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and monitor & control quality.
  • Clearly communicate any problems or issues to supervision, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Be aware of EH&S issues such as COSHH and risk assessments.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the area and equipment, in line with TEOA initiatives.
  • Stay updated with day-to-day operations and new / existing products.
  • Ensure that all customer targets are achieved.
  • Read and interpret assembly instructions and diagrams.
  • Inspect and test assemblies to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Carry out any other duties as requested by the Supervisor.
What your background should look like
  • Assembly & test knowledge of electronic products is advantageous.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment for safety and efficiency.
  • Assemble various electronic components using hand tools and soldering irons.
  • Test finished products and parts to meet predefined specifications.
  • Identify and rectify product defects and assembly problems.
  • Prior experience is not necessary but would be an advantage.
  • Hand soldering certification is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in fault finding, PCB work, or electronic product testing is advantageous.
Key Requirements
  • Flexibility to work on short notice, including overtime or shift work, such as night shifts, as required by business needs.
  • Work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Prior experience is not necessary but would be an advantage.
