As part of a small day team Production Operative will be responsible for the receipt and distribution of chemicals and other raw materials across site. You will also operate a Chemical Plant batch process facility in Derby. This involves set-up monitoring and continuous process control. Operator will assist and report to the Chemical Movement & Environmental Operations Team Leader / Duly Authorised Person (DAP). Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office home or another remote location. Its a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum were all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons on average three days per week.

Responsibilities
  • You will be working in a chemical / process plant environment
  • You will be ensuring procedures are accurately followed
  • The role involves working in a high hazard chemical / radiological environment
  • The candidate must demonstrate good HS&E knowledge and culture
  • You will be co‑ordinating minor projects when required
  • Effectively contributing to Team Objectives
  • You will be working Monday to Friday day hours

Qualifications
  • Ideally hold a qualification in Science or Engineering
  • Experience of working in a hazardous chemical / radiological environment desirable.
  • Accomplished and accurate in administration record keeping and use of applicable IT skills with a thorough understanding of Word and Excel
  • Clear communicator both written and verbally complimented by ability to liaise at all levels.
  • Good team working ability organisational skills
  • Experience of working unsupervised.
  • Ability to be flexible when required.
  • FLT licence desirable
