A leading engineering company is seeking a Production Operative in the East Midlands. The role focuses on operating a Chemical Plant and ensuring safe distribution of materials. Candidates should ideally have a qualification in Science or Engineering, and experience in a hazardous environment is desirable. Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary, alongside the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. As part of a small day team Production Operative will be responsible for the receipt and distribution of chemicals and other raw materials across site. You will also operate a Chemical Plant batch process facility in Derby. This involves set-up monitoring and continuous process control. Operator will assist and report to the Chemical Movement & Environmental Operations Team Leader / Duly Authorised Person (DAP). Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office home or another remote location. Its a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum were all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons on average three days per week.

To work for the Rolls‑Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls‑Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
