Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking Production Operatives near Blackwood, Wales, for an ongoing temporary position. The role requires flexibility to work full-time in a continental shift pattern, including nights and weekends. Responsibilities include inspecting products to ensure quality, operating equipment, and adhering to GMP standards. Candidates should have previous production experience and access to private transport. The hourly rate is £11.44, and induction starts in mid-September.

Responsibilities

  • Visually and physically check all products for quality specifications.
  • Detect and report any product defects.
  • Operate processing equipment as necessary.
  • Collect product samples for quality assurance.
  • Maintain GMP standards.
  • Support continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with Company regulations.
  • Adhere to ISO quality standards.

Job description

Role: Production Operatives

Location: Near Blackwood

Contract Type: Ongoing Temporary

Working Pattern: Full Time, Continental shift pattern – important you have flexibility to work day/night shifts incl weekends & bank holidays. Working hours 7am-7pm & 7pm-7am.

Start Dates: ASAP if successful from induction on 18th & 19th September.

Hourly Rate: £11.44ph

Due to location & working hours, you should have access to private transport.

Responsibilities
  • Visually and physically check all products to conform to product quality specifications and document where appropriate.
  • During inspection, detect any product defects which occur on a consecutive basis to be reported to Line Supervision.
  • Operate processing equipment where necessary.
  • Collect and supply product samples for quality assurance where necessary.
  • Maintain GMP standards in all aspects of the role.
  • Support the development of “Lean Manufacturing” within the department. Make suggestions for continuous improvement and participate in implementing agreed changes.
  • To ensure compliance with all Company rules and regulations, and also maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Adhere to and conforms with the required technical and quality specifications in line with the Company’s ISO quality systems.
About you
  • Previous production experience advantageous.
  • Ability to work full-time and shift pattern – note we aren’t able to consider candidates on Student Visa.
  • Access to private transport ideal.
