About the job Production Manager - Papermill

As a Papermill Production Manager, you will oversee the achievement of production goals, ensuring full compliance with safety, environmental, and product specifications, in line with ISO 9001 standards and Group policies. You will lead the production team, drive technical improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and high-quality papermaking operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accomplishment of production objectives while adhering to safety, environmental, and product safety guidelines; ISO 9001 Quality System; and the group's protocols.
  • Supervise production teams, including managing shift schedules.
  • Coordinate technical training sessions, regularly evaluating progress and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Product Office to keep technical documentation updated, identifying discrepancies and recommending adjustments for ongoing enhancements.
  • Ensure that products meet the established technical requirements and quality benchmarks by conducting routine audits and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Work alongside the Product Office to maintain up-to-date technical specifications, pinpointing issues and suggesting modifications to enhance the product continually.
  • Contribute to the creation of new products by assessing their technical viability and managing necessary testing and sample collection.
  • Play a role in evaluating supplementary raw materials by coordinating and monitoring their industrial testing procedures.
  • Promote continuous development aimed at streamlining production processes, introducing innovative solutions where applicable.
  • Cooperate with the Maintenance department to guarantee the optimal performance of production lines.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience within a papermaking manufacturing environment, ideally in paper, cardboard, or paperboard production.
  • Proven background in team leadership and personnel management.
  • Technical knowledge of papermaking processes, with the capability to identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with experience working cross-functionally to address production challenges and enhance product quality.
  • Exceptional communication abilities and a capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
