Our client, a precision engineering company in the Farnborougharea has an immediate requirement to recruit a well versed Production Manager to join their growing business.

As the hub of operations you will coordinate plan and schedule the flow of work through the factory paying particular attention to quality and in time delivery. In line with the companys lean objectives, you will be expected to drive continuous improvement in the quest for improved efficiency. A refusal to accept the status quo is paramount. You will regularly question and interrogate processes or procedures constantly seeking to reduce lead times, setups , cycle times and non value adding activities. There is a vital need to be able motivate and manage highly skilled staff assertively but fairly and you will hold regular meetings with reports to ensure that production plans are being met.

You will be expected to prepare accurate, clear and concise reports for the management team for capacity, progress and output; and present these at weekly management meetings along with timescales for the work and an overall monthly forecast for board submission. Your team will need to liai...
