The Opportunity

Are you a people-focused leader with a passion for operational excellence? We’re looking for a Department Manager to lead our Tamar Packing team across four shift patterns. This is a pivotal role with 24/7 responsibility for delivering safe, high-quality, and cost-effective manufacturing processes while fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.

• Lead and develop Packing Area Managers, setting clear, stretching goals and ensuring robust performance management.
• Own all people processes including recruitment, training, succession planning, and employee engagement.
• Ensure quality standards are consistently met through effective audit management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Drive cost optimisation through budget control, KPI recovery plans, and equipment damage investigations.
• Champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and promoting zero-accident behaviours.
