Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage our production operations in Bradford. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost effective manufacturing processes while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and operational performance.

This position plays a key role in coordinating production activities, managing teams, optimising workflows, and supporting the company’s growth and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and oversee daily production operations to ensure output targets, quality standards, and deadlines are met
  • Develop and implement production plans, capacity planning, and workflow optimisation
  • Lead and supervise production staff, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and performance management
  • Monitor production efficiency, waste levels, downtime, and costs, implementing corrective actions where required
  • Ensure full compliance with UK food safety regulations, allergen management, health & safety legislation, and environmental standards
  • Coordinate with supply chain, procurement, quality assurance, and management teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and KPIs for management review
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in production or manufacturing management, ideally within the food production or FMCG sector.
  • Strong understanding of operations management and production processes is essential.
  • Experience managing production teams and day‑to‑day manufacturing operations.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety standards, allergen controls, and health & safety compliance.
  • Experience in process optimisation and continuous improvement is essential.
  • Due to regular communication with Farsi‑speaking suppliers, partners, and operational teams, professional working proficiency in Farsi and English is essential for this role.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience or interest in automation and AI‑driven tools.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Experience working with international suppliers or multicultural teams.
Qualifications
  • Relevant qualification or degree in food technology, food science, manufacturing, operations management, engineering, or a related field.
