Production Machine Operative

Location: Gilberdyke

Contract: Temp to Perm

Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (Week 1: 5 shifts, Week 2: 2 shifts – rotating)

Are you looking for a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced production environment? We're recruiting Production Machine Operatives to join a leading manufacturing business in Gilberdyke. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long‑term position with career progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, grade, and feed batches of raw materials into production machinery.
  • Operate production line equipment and palletising robot.
  • Hand‑stack pallets when required (occasional handling of bags weighing 12.5kg‑20kg).
  • Monitor the production process and carry out basic testing and quality checks.
  • Accurately sample produced batches.
  • Liaise with Goods In/Out to store finished goods and raw materials.
  • Report breakdowns to the Site Engineer and assist with planned maintenance (PPM).
  • Complete documentation accurately.
  • Identify correct packaging and labels for products.
  • Print and apply labels in compliance with QC standards.
  • Empty and maintain extractor systems.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Conduct scale and weight checks.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Report any discrepancies to the Supervisor or Manager.
