Overview

Production Coordinator | Wincanton | £30,000 per annum

Are you a proactive problem-solver with a knack for numbers and a sharp eye for detail? Join a well-established manufacturer in the Wincanton area to help them better control production. This Production Coordinator position would potentially suit an individual wanting to take the next step in their career.

You’ve possibly worked your way up through the ranks but hit a ceiling within your current place of work. Our customer operates several different lines and are looking to add some administrative support to the production team.

This role is likely to be around 50% administration (stock checking / data entry) and 50% supporting the team in other ways.

This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to take ownership of stock control, packaging checks, and production monitoring in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support the production supervisor with managing stock levels across the site.
  • Attend production planning meetings, giving input.
  • Monitor & record raw materials, packaging, labels and other consumables on the internal database.
  • Work closely with procurement to ensure the factory has what is required to keep going.
  • Book in all relevant goods into the factory.
  • Support the production team with daily output reports across various departments.
  • Jump on various machines for part of your day when the administration element is done.
Experience and qualifications
  • Proven experience within manufacturing
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety policies
  • Excellent timekeeping and attention to detail
  • Confidence with stock management and inventory software
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Comfort working under pressure and managing multiple priorities
