Job summary

An engineering solutions provider in Shrewsbury seeks a Production Engineer (Draughtsperson/Detail Design Engineer) to support the mechanical engineering department in producing 3D design models and technical drawings. Candidates should possess ONC or equivalent in mechanical engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Autodesk software is required. Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in fabrication design/detailing.
• Knowledge of machined parts design/detailing.
• Appropriate use of tolerancing and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Support the mechanical engineering department with production of 3D design models.
• Ensure design intent is accurately represented in technical drawings.
• Upload Bills of Materials to the ERP system.
• Provide support to the supply chain for designs.
• Assist in the planning and execution of the production build process.
• Update technical drawings and documentation to as-built status.
• Support test engineer in developing test plans and layouts.
