Futures recruitment are looking to appoint a Product Designer with a focus on hydraulic motors, valves, and manifolds. This role goes beyond standard component design, requiring deep understanding of fluid dynamics, tight tolerances, and advanced machining methods. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, innovative, and passionate about engineering solutions that push into new markets.

Responsibilities
  • Design & Development: Develop, update, and optimize hydraulic motors and valves with a focus on performance, safety, and efficiency.
  • Special Manifolds: Design and engineer bespoke manifolds with tight tolerances and precision requirements.
  • Simulation & Analysis: Utilize SolidWorks (and potentially FDA simulation software) for flow simulation, force checks, and failure prevention.
  • Technical Innovation: Contribute to the creation of new market opportunities through advanced product design.
  • Problem-Solving: Apply strong engineering knowledge to assess flow paths, areas, damping, and overall system reliability.
  • Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Work across chemical and mechanical engineering domains to ensure robust designs aligned with industry standards.
