We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Procurement & Transport Co‑ordinator to join our team at AG. This is a key role supporting the smooth running of our supply chain, ensuring that materials, goods, and transport operations run efficiently and on time. The role will also include supervisory responsibility, providing day‑to‑day guidance and support to team members involved in procurement and logistics.

🌟 What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinating daily procurement activities, including placing orders and maintaining supplier relationships.
- Scheduling transport and logistics to ensure timely deliveries across sites and to customers.
- Monitoring stock levels, checking order accuracy and resolving any supply issues quickly.
- Liaising with suppliers, drivers, internal departments, and production teams to keep workflows running smoothly.
- Supporting the wider operations team with administrative and coordination tasks as required.

About the role
KEY RESONSIBILITIES
- Work closely and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality, price and delivery terms
- Raise purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing
- Track inventory levels and forecast procurement needs in collaboration with warehouse and operations teams
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and budget controls
Work with Despatch Clerks and transport provides, drivers and internal departments to ensure efficient delivery routes and cost control
Respond promptly to transport issues, delays, or emergencies and implement contingency plans when needed
Step into a supervisory role during absence of the department lead or during peak periods.
Provide daily direction and oversight to transport staff, including drivers and despatch clerks.
Conduct briefings, assign tasks, and ensure team adherence to schedules and safety protocols.
Support the onboarding and training of new logistics or procurement staff when required.
As Procurements & Transport Coordinator, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and maintaining high standards of Health & Safety (H&S) practices are fundamental to the smooth and secure execution of all transportation and procurement activities

Required Criteria
- Proven experience in procurement, logistics or transport coordination
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Good understanding of logistic regulations and transport operation's
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g SAP, Oracle or similar)
- Ability to lead and supervise a small team effectively
Desired Criteria
- Relevant qualifications in procurement, logistics or supply chain management
- Experience working in a manufacturing, construction, or distribution environment
- Knowledge of international shipping and customs documentation
