The Role

The Procurement Supervisor is a key member of the Ebsray team and will report to the Operations Manager. The role is responsible for sourcing, negotiations, and all phases of supply base management for assigned product lines and commodities. This individual is responsible for ensuring the availability of purchased parts, components, assemblies and services to maintain Customer On Time Delivery for assigned product lines/commodities and ability to produce cost savings and cost avoidance as a total cost of ownership. This role requires an individual with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization including; product segment planners, product design, customer service and manufacturing supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, review and maintain procurement information for assigned business segments.
  • Control the purchase and receipt of all raw materials, castings, patterns, commercial and expendable items, tooling and contract service requirements.
  • Qualify and Audit suppliers to ensure their compliance with our specifications for quality, quantity, price and service.
  • Manage procurement data integrity for assigned areas.
  • Manage the material discrepancy process to ensure that reports are processed.
  • Manage purchased services for assigned areas.
  • Assist in make/buy analysis and other strategic procurement decisions as needed.
  • Monitor supplier compliance with freight carriers.
  • Conform to all ISO policies and procedures, company code of ethics and company purchasing policies.
  • Manage, create and expedite purchase orders to meet program and production schedules employing best practice methodology regarding asset management and cost control.
  • Assist in managing purchased materials costs through effective supply base management and cost reductions initiatives.
  • Overseeing the buying function.
Experience and Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Senior Buyer.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Purchasing, or APICS is desired.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management and communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and data management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with others at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, hands-on and results driven.
  • Adept at forging relationships and aligning team members and resources to achieve department initiatives.
  • Ability to raise issues proactively and in a timely manner.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • ERP experience, ideally in Oracle.
  • Extensive experience with negotiating terms and conditions (T&Cs), long term agreements (LTA), Pricing.
  • Continuous improvement mindset - willingness to challenge the status quo while meeting the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated success translating data into actionable insights and improvement initiatives.
