Procurement Manager (12-Month Contract)

Location: Glascoed - NP15

Pay: £40 per hour PAYE

Contract Duration: 12 months

Reports to: Procurement Director / Head of Procurement / Head of Project

Are you an experienced Procurement Manager looking for a new challenge? We have a fantastic 12-month contract opportunity in Glascoed. As an integral part of our team, you will be accountable for leading a team of professionals, managing complex projects, and driving procurement solutions that directly contribute to our business\'s financial performance and strategic goals.

This is a senior-level role that requires you to work independently with minimal guidance. You will be responsible for a critical work package with a high value and high volume of orders.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead a Team: Manage and develop a team of procurement professionals, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle workload and priorities.
  • End-to-End Procurement: Take full accountability for the source-to-pay process, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and order management.
  • Strategic Impact: Implement procurement strategies, drive innovation, and lead cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.
  • Supplier & Risk Management: Manage key supplier relationships, monitor performance against KPIs, and lead risk and opportunity activities to minimize contractual exposure.
  • Expert Guidance: Act as a subject matter expert for procurement, providing expertise to both internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
  • Significant Experience: You should have extensive experience across the entire source-to-pay lifecycle.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in people management, with the ability to lead and mentor diverse teams.
  • Commercial Acumen: A strong understanding of project management, product awareness, and financial management is essential.
  • Communication: You must have strong skills to influence and partner with stakeholders to achieve strategic goals.
