Procurement Manager
Sage Procurement's purpose is "to create value across a sustainable supply chain" and our ambition is to be trusted and valued business partners. The team is accountable for strategic sourcing for spend across IT & Product, Marketing and Corporate categories. The Procurement Manager is accountable for supporting the delivery of specific, IT & Product spend sub-categories across the Sage Group, which may include Apps & Platforms, Security, IT Operations, and End Computer Computing. This role is hybrid with 3 days a week in our Newcastle office.
In this role, you will play a key part in developing and delivering category strategies by analyzing internal requirements and supply markets to identify suppliers capable of meeting long-term business needs. You'll conduct opportunity assessments to add incremental value to category strategies and sourcing activities, support the deployment of agreed sourcing approaches— including leading RFPs within assigned sub-categories—and carry out supplier bid evaluations and selection processes. Collaboration with the Sage Legal team is essential to negotiate commercially robust contracts that protect Sage's interests and create value. You will also implement effective supplier performance and relationship management practices to drive sustained improvement, ensure all contracts comply with relevant procedures and policies such as the Procurement Lifecycle Policy and Delegation of Authority, and support the integration of Sage's sustainable procurement measures into category strategies where relevant.
We're seeking a commercially aware professional who thrives both as a collaborative team player and when working independently. You'll bring strong communication and influencing skills, a solid understanding across IT sub-categories, and the ability to analyze complex data and present clear, actionable insights. Operating effectively in a global organization, you'll demonstrate robust planning and organizational abilities, sound project management knowledge—including managing milestones, timelines, resources, and costs—and logical, analytical, and quantitative skills. Ideally, you'll hold a relevant degree or MCIPS qualification, but practical experience is most important for success in this role.
