Overview

Job summary: The NHS Wales Procurement Strategy aims to secure value for NHS Wales through people-centred services by providing a first-class service to support Health Boards and Trusts as they look after patients. The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) Procurement Department delivers a holistic Procurement to Payment process for all Health Boards/Trusts in Wales.

An opportunity has arisen to join the Hywel Dda Frontline Procurement Team. You will be a key team member responsible for delivering the NWSSP Procurement Strategy and supporting the Health Board in delivering their strategic aims. This role offers a chance to develop a procurement career in a supportive, diverse, and challenging environment, delivering value for money goods and services to the NHS to support the wellbeing and future generations of Wales. Qualifications and experience

Essential

  • A Level/NVQ Level 3/Advanced certificate in procurement and supply
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of or has worked within a role that includes basic purchasing principles

Desirable

  • Procurement or Accountancy qualification at foundation level or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Oracle Financial Management Systems

Experience
