A leading defence organisation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their procurement team. This role includes planning and executing projects throughout the product lifecycle and developing a project management framework. Candidates should have strong project management qualifications, experience in managing projects, and be proficient in data analysis and Microsoft Office tools. The position offers a salary of approximately £60,000 and involves hybrid working arrangements with opportunities for growth.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join a dynamic and collaborative team of procurement professionals.
Salary: Circa £60,000 depending on experience
Location: Stevenage/Bolton (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 days per week on‑site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
As a Project Manager within the Procurement and Supply Chain function, you will play a vital role in the planning, execution, successful delivery and closure of projects throughout the whole Product lifecycle (CADMID). You will also be responsible for defining and establishing a project management framework across the team - integrating the latest industry standards in alignment with the company's strategic objectives. We are looking for a self‑starter with the ability to drive and develop this role alongside the existing team. The successful candidate is expected to hold project management qualifications and experience. A background in Aerospace and Defence is preferred, but not expected.
