Procurement Analyst

Location: Swindon Support Centre (hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office)

6 month Fixed Term Contract

With a rich heritage and a new name, TGJones is the fresh face of a much-loved and trusted British brand. Our roots lie in WHSmith, where we've proudly supported the high street retail estate for generations. Now, under the ownership of specialist retail investors, Modella Capital, we're entering an exciting new chapter with bold ambitions to become 'Your Hub of the High Street'.

About the role

We're seeking a creative, curious, and proactive Procurement Analyst to join our High Street Procurement team, based at our Support Centre in Swindon.

The role of a Procurement Analyst is to ensure that all TGJones non-trade contracts are set up and effectively maintained in the central contract library, whilst managing the supplier due diligence process and reporting via Power Automate and PowerBI.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supplier Onboarding & Due Diligence – manage the end-to-end new supplier setup process, including the initiation of NDAs, conducting financial checks, and coordinating with Information Security and Data Privacy teams.
  • Due Diligence Tracking & Reporting – maintain the due diligence tracker to log all active supplier setup and compliance requests; generate regular reports from the tracker to support audit readiness and internal reporting needs.
  • Contract Management – oversee the central Procurement contract library and database, ensuring all current and new supplier contracts are accurately recorded; archive expired contracts and maintain a clear, auditable trail.
  • Document Governance – regularly review and update Procurement documentation, including master contract templates and tender documents; liaise with the Legal team to ensure templates reflect current legislation and best practice.
  • Tender Process Support – collaborate with the Procurement team to ensure appropriate tender processes (RFI / RFP) are followed; support project teams in drafting, issuing, and collating tender responses for evaluation.
  • Procurement Reporting – contribute to Procurement's reporting cycles by producing contract expiry reports, Experian data extracts, supplier finance change logs, and ad hoc reports such as supplier spend analysis, primarily using Power BI.
  • Continuous Improvement – support continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to procurement processes and reporting tools to drive efficiency and compliance.
About you

We're looking for people who want to build a career, not just find a job - individuals who are curious, committed, and full of ideas. At our Support Centre, you'll be part of a business that values innovation, collaboration, and long-term growth.

Experience required for this role will include:

  • Previous Experience – ideally some background in procurement administration or supply chain support within a commercial environment.
  • Technical Skills – strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
  • Data & Automation Tools – knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate is desirable, or a strong willingness and aptitude to learn these tools for data analysis and process automation.
  • Organisation & Communication – highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Attention to Detail & Proactivity – ability to work to tight deadlines with high accuracy, demonstrating a proactive mindset to deliver improvements and efficiencies.
