Job Title: Procurement Analyst

Location: Bracknell, Hybrid

Role Overview

The Procurement Analyst will play a critical role within the Avis Budget Group Global Procurement organization by delivering in-depth market research, financial analysis, and strategic insights. This role requires strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity across diverse industries, and the ability to interpret complex data to guide decision-making in strategic sourcing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Analysis
  • Conduct market research to support supplier identification, evaluation, and selection.
  • Analyse industry trends, market conditions, and economic indicators to support procurement decisions.
  • Assess supply‑chain risks by monitoring commodity markets, geopolitical events, and regulatory developments; prepare detailed reports to support risk‑mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate competitor performance and market positioning to identify opportunities and risks.
Financial Modelling & Valuation
  • Develop sensitivity analyses and scenario‑planning models to support responses to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
  • Conduct cost‑breakdown analyses to identify savings opportunities and strengthen negotiation strategies.
  • Perform price‑benchmarking studies to validate competitive pricing and ensure best‑value outcomes.
Data Interpretation & Reporting
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards summarizing market insights for internal stakeholders, using a wide range of external intelligence sources.
  • Monitor and interpret macroeconomic developments and assess their impact on procurement strategies.
  • Analyse internal and external data to identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and support category‑management initiatives.
  • Use tools such as Excel, Power BI, QlikView and QuickBase to structure data, build dashboards, track KPIs, and enhance decision‑making processes.
  • Analyse supplier performance metrics and trends to support ongoing supplier performance management.
Collaboration & Support
  • Assist in developing pitch books and marketing materials for internal stakeholder presentations.
  • Support the creation of procurement strategies and the development of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
  • Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of procurement systems and tools.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, procurement analysis, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate operational data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities across regional and functional teams.
