Why Join Us?

At Guidant Global, we champion an inclusive workplace where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow. Joining this programme means contributing to world‑class aerospace manufacturing while working in a forward‑thinking, collaborative environment.

In this role, you'll be a key part of improving industrial processes that keep production running safely, efficiently, and on time - with plenty of opportunities to learn, influence, and develop.

About the Role

As a Process Planning Engineer, you'll help define, optimise, and monitor the industrial sequence that drives production. You'll work closely with manufacturing, design, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure aircraft assemblies are built efficiently, safely, and in line with operational requirements.

This is a hands‑on role with a mix of office‑based planning and shop‑floor engagement, ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, improving processes, and working cross‑functionally.

What You'll Be Doing
Industrial Planning & Sequencing
  • Develop and maintain industrial build sequences to support smooth production flow.
  • Integrate planning constraints early in the design/definition phase.
  • Build and update PERT charts to visualise and optimise workflows.
Line Balancing & Efficiency
  • Create and maintain Standard Line Balancing (SLB) to enable Production Pace Control.
  • Continuously improve line efficiency by identifying and reducing white/red space.
  • Ensure Line Balancing is embedded from initial planning through to industrial execution.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor manufacturing performance and analyse variances.
  • Lead improvement initiatives to reduce efficiency losses.li>
  • Conduct VA/NVA (value‑added/non‑value‑added) analysis to optimise tasks.
Process & Data Management
  • Maintain Standard Time Value (STV) databases, including updates from non‑conformance processes.
  • Ensure adherence to STV/SLB standards and 'golden rules'.
  • Support the development and maintenance of digital tools for process optimisation.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Assess the industrial impact of design or engineering changes.
  • Translate production requirements to supply chain and design teams.
  • Coach and support end‑users to improve their understanding of SLB/STV methods.
About You
Essential
  • NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering environments.
  • Strong understanding of process optimisation and continuous improvement principles.
  • Confident working on the shop floor as well as in an office setting.
  • SAP experience.
Desirable
  • Previous line‑side engineering experience.
  • Build plan sequencing experience.
  • Familiarity with line balancing methodologies.
  • Experience managing improvement projects.
What's In It For You?
  • Opportunity to contribute to high‑impact aerospace projects.
  • Access to recommended training modules aligned with the role (e.g., SLB methodology).
  • Supportive and inclusive environment through Guidant Global.
  • Onsite working within a collaborative, hands‑on engineering community.
