Job Description

Heathrow's core Finance processes are executed in Oracle Cloud Fusion Financials and EPM. The processes continue to improve and digitally transform by unlocking more capabilities in the Oracle footprint. This role is pivotal to the transformation journey in 'Record to Report' that covers, Month-end, FP&A, Bank reconciliations and Tax reporting. The role will bring greater focus and own the EPM workstream to enable adoption of current and emerging modules and features in EPM, reducing reliance on spreadsheets and refocusing effort on strategic decision making.

The role will work collaboratively with business owners, technology teams, and suppliers, ensuring systems and processes are aligned for maximum benefit.

A key finance strategic priority is to transform Heathrow's planning and forecasting processes. The role will inform, drive and deliver a 3-5-year roadmap, enabling automation in short, medium and long-term planning using EPBCS.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with Finance, Technology, Project, and Service Delivery teams to design and improve Record to Report (R2R) processes, ensuring robust controls and ongoing transformation.
• Monitoring and maintaining R2R processes to mitigate risks, uphold audit requirements, and keep systems updated with the latest releases.
• Serving as the subject matter expert for R2R systems and their integration, addressing system-related challenges and understanding interdependencies with other core processes.
• Supporting the R2R Process Owner and stakeholders by defining, prioritising, and implementing process and system improvements, while proactively managing project and communication plans.
• Creating and maintaining process documentation, including process maps, standard operating procedures, and control documentation, and actively participate in customer forums to influence future system functionality.

Qualifications

• We are seeking an individual who possesses proven experience in delivering system and programme transformations, preferably within FP&A. Alternatively, candidates with an FP&A background who have hands‑on experience with planning systems and operations, along with a comprehensive understanding of planning cycles, will also be considered.
• Experience in EPM (primarily EPBCS) and Oracle Fusion Financials, or similar, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, processes and ways of working.
• Part/or Fully qualified finance professional, with knowledge of core finance processes, controls, and best practices.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills and ability to build relationships quickly with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrable experience in proactive and thought leadership (ability to bring a concept to life) with also experience in change management.

Working Location

Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
