Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Probation Services Officer to work in Crewe on a 3-month contract with extension possibilities. The ideal candidate will manage offender caseloads and carry out risk assessments while delivering interventions aimed at reducing reoffending. Qualifications

  • Experience working as a Probation Services Officer within the Probation Service.
  • Sound understanding of risk management and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
  • Enhanced DBS and/or prison clearance is desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of offenders, carrying out risk assessments and sentence planning.
  • Deliver one-to-one and group interventions aimed at reducing reoffending.
  • Liaise effectively with partner agencies, including police, courts, and social services.
  • Prepare and present reports to courts and parole boards when required.
  • Ensure accurate recording of all case management activity in line with national standards.
