Job summary

A well-regarded offshore law firm in Jersey seeks a Private Wealth lawyer with 0 to 3 years PQE. You will support senior lawyers on complex trusts for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and advise on estate planning. The ideal candidate will have strong relationship-building skills, be England & Wales or Jersey-qualified, and be involved in drafting, philanthropic structures, and non-contentious advice. This role supports the firm's continued growth and offers a chance to work within a respected team.

Qualifications

Job description

Well-regarded offshore law firm in Jersey is looking to recruit a Private Wealth lawyer of 0 to 3 years’ PQE. The team delivers sophisticated solutions to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, trustees, family offices, and private banks. They advise on all aspects of international trusts and estate planning, with a particular focus on complex, cross‑border structures. They have a strong reputation for pragmatic, client‑focused advice, offering seamless support across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. This vacancy has come about due to continued growth of the team and you will work with, and support, more senior team members in order to meet clients’ needs.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Partners and other senior lawyers on a range of complex trusts and private wealth matters for a range of UHNW and HNW individuals, as well as trust companies and trustees.
  • Working on all aspects of non-contentious trusts and estates advice including the drafting of trusts, supplemental deeds.
  • Assisting with the creation of and advice on employee incentive and international pension and savings schemes.
  • Understanding and advising on philanthropic structures, including charitable trusts and foundations.
Qualifications and Expectations

The successful candidate must have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and continue to build on other current relationships that are likely to attract future work. Applicants will be England & Wales or Jersey-qualified.
