Private Client Solicitor – Wills, Inheritance & Estate Planning (NQ–3 PQE)

I’m working with a well-regarded law firm that is looking to recruit a Private Client Solicitor (Newly Qualified up to 3 years PQE) to join its expanding Wills and Inheritance team in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior solicitor to develop their career in a busy and supportive department, working on a wide range of private client matters.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload of private client files, while also supporting more senior team members. The work will include:

• Drafting and advising on Wills
• Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA)
• Inheritance Tax planning and estate structuring
• Advising on elderly client matters and related issues
• Assisting with broader team projects and client development initiatives

You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in business development and networking to help grow the department’s profile and build your own client relationships.

About You

You will be:

• A Newly Qualified Solicitor or up to 3 years PQE with some experience in Private Client law (through a seat, post-qualification experience, or current role)
• Technically strong with excellent drafting and advisory skills
• Confident in client care, with a personable approach and the ability to put clients at ease
• Keen to develop your profile through business development and networking activities
• Proactive, organised, and comfortable working with a degree of independence
